IF TALKING IS DEATH, IT IS NOT TALKING

If the coin mints its tails in the hand, noting defeat

and the malignant dreams of the fate of the sphinx

in the portrait that it ruled as a prisoner of the pocket ...

If the evening companion of the murmur that sheds the skin

bribes you the gaze of games perforating the two real

of grandpa; handle the revolver of your voice with its five

silver bullets, except one.

If I stop the bubble of oblivion that you breathe

and from the bottom of the well comes the echo,

wait for the rain to drown your slope of sadness

on the stone curb that surrounds your chest.

If talking is death

there is not tercet in the representation of farewell

and then no one cries on their knees in the shady corner

from the dark room, where love expelled you.

And don't sell me the elegance of the neighbourhood

where our bones collided, that I can spell

your own name with a different accent

with a firm pulse and closed eyes.

If the cadaver could speak,

ignorant toddler declares itself the monkey

and the grimaces of three skulls lying silently,

they will laugh at the newly discovered joke.
